When this album begins, it is immediately likeable. After a very embracing and haunting intro, the Dark quality of this album comes pouring out in a sonic headrush. From that moment on the tracks drive and pull, lulling you deeper into foetal, blissful, encompassing Darkness. The vocals slice through the churning beats, pulsing bass and crunchy noise, but always remain in perfect balance in the mix. You can't tell what he's saying, but you more than feel the anger and despair in the voice. This is one of those rare albums that has no obvious reference point, yet still manages to fuse the best elements of sounds and styles that have been done before; it grabs them and throws them together in a bloody mess of purely original soundscapes. Highly recommended listening, if you're not afraid of The Dark.
